Final Project: Implementation Evaluation Control

Customer Satisfaction..... if you ever want to know the number one rule to making everything go easy in marking are those two words right there" c u s t o m e r - s a t i s f a c a t i o n." Without the satisfaction of a customer, then you have no product. If you keep your customer happy, then you will be happy in the long run. No good product can run without having a satisfied customer.
"A customer buys from the firm that offers the highest customer perceived value—the customer’s evaluation of the difference between all the benefits and all the costs of a market offering relative to those of competing offers." (Ch.1, Pg.14)
Being able to evaluate each and all aspects, seeing what will work and what will not, discussing the concerns with others, would be another factor that would be beneficial because it would help not only the company get better but also the product that we are trying to with hold from.
"Companies also develop product support services that enhance customer service and satisfaction and safeguard against competitors." Chapter 7, Page 238

Final Project: Price

" It must decide how much it will charge for the offering (price) and how it will make the offering available to target consumers (place)." Chapter 1, Page 13
When I first was figuring out how much I should set the price for the chips at I thought I would want to go cheaper then any other chip. But then I thought to myself, would anyone want to buy cheap chips that they have never heard of before? I answered that question as if someone was asking me about, and honestly I wouldn't buy the an "unknown" or "unrecognizable" chip. I would feel as if its going to taste like cardboard. However.... if i end up making the chips like .25 more then the average chip, I feel as if I would get more profit that way. Because everyone would want to buy one or so, just to test it out and find out why it cost more then probably 'Lays Potato Chips.' Therefore the price of my chips are going to be $5.50.

Final Project: Distribution

"The company must decide where to launch the new product—in a single location, a region, the national market, or the international market. Few companies have the confidence, capital, and capacity to launch new products into full national or international distribution right away. Instead, they develop a planned market rollout over time." (Ch. 8, Pg. 253)
My goal is to end up having this product distributed throughout different countries, I want the whole world to know about this snack., to fall in love with it, as much as my crew and I have. I want our product to be placed in places where others can see it, where our competitors can be up against us. While having this product in those places I can view the stats and see how well my chip is doing compared to all of the chips out there in the world today.
"By spending a lot of money on product improvement, promotion, and distribution, the company can capture a dominant position." (Ch. 8, Pg. 262)

Final Project: Promotion

I plan on having numerous kinds of promotion with this new produt. Going through different kinds of social media, such as; Twitter, Facebook, Instragram, the radio, and if we are lucky even our own commercial. I feel like promoting this product is a huge thing, because if we want the world to know about our chips, we have to get our name out there, but we don't want to have the same kind of promotion that anybody else has. So, therefore we have to come up with a more unique and better quality in order to prove that our chips are the best chips to have with alcohol. With our promotion we want it to be as fun as possible, thinking of like renting a club or a bar for a day and having people come in and try our chips with listening to music (DJ) and eating our delicious snacks, which are impeccable for adults to have. While having everyone do all of that we would observe them to see how they react to our product. So it would be a mixture of a promotion as well as an analysis.
""The importance of different promotion tools varies between consumer and business markets. Business-to-consumer companies usually “pull” more, putting more of their funds into advertising, followed by sales promotion, personal selling, and then PR. In contrast, business-to-business marketers tend to “push” more, putting more of their funds into personal selling, followed by sales promotion, advertising, and PR. In general, personal selling is used more heavily with expensive and risky goods and in markets with fewer and larger sellers." (Ch. 12, Pg.385)

Final Project: Product

"Some manufacturers believe that if they can “build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to their door.” But they are often rudely shocked"
(Marketing Creating and Capturing Customer Value; ch 1. page 11)
The product that we are creating is the complete opposite compared to the other kinds of potato chips. With its German Sausage flavored chip, makes it different from other products. The way we put together our chip is that they sausage is cut thicker then an original chip, making the 'snack' more fulfilling, one other factor is that it can contribute to they way the the packaging is designed. We decided to keep with the original shape of a potato chip bag, because we felt as if we would do anything else, we would make it kid-ish and this is an 'adult snack.' The potato chip as a unique taste to it, it is a very universal as well as appeal to the anything.
^the photo above is just a rough sketch of how we would like our product to look^
"Based on each customer’s purchase history, previous product searches, and other data, the company recommends related products that might be of interest. This recommendation system influences up to 30 percent of all sales." Chapter 1, Page 22

Final Project: Target Market Strategy

"With its marketing strategy decided, the company now constructs an integrated marketing program—consisting of a blend of the four marketing mix elements, or the four Ps—that transforms the marketing strategy into real value for customers" (Marketing creating and capture customer value. ch.1; pg11 )
Our Target market would have to mature adults. We came up with the word "mature" because we feel as if there are different groups of adults when consuming alcohol. For our product we want to focus more on those adults that will drink responsibly, because those are the ones that will enjoy our adult snack the most. In order to understand the target market more we had to do some research and understand everything about these people.  So we had a few of our people go out and observe those individuals and find out pretty much everything about them. What they came up with was that most o them would want to go out and have a few drink to get rid of stress or if they were having a hard day at work to just relax and forget about all the responsibilities that they would have. So, we wanted them t be able to enjoy whatever the reason they are drinking even more.

EOC Week 10: What are the benefits vs the features?

"She was the first one to see the benefit and not the feature!" (mad men)
Being able to see the benefits before the feature is a great thing. Because if the only thing you see is the feature then how do you if what you are buying is really worth it. With the Product of snack that I am making, with the Phileas Fogg Alcoholic beverages, I would like to explain to you the benefits of buying one of our bags instead of a different snack. We want you to know that when first eating our deliciously thing sliced sausage chip, and having it with a an alcoholic beverage it will open your taste buds to a whole new level, the money you spend on a bag of our chips will be worth spent, only because of the reason is when you are consuming alcohol you will most likely love everything you eat. HOWEVER with our product you will absolutely love our snack even if you aren't drinking, with its deliciously, rich, tender, salty taste, it'll be a taste that wont be forgotten, and "impeccable taste for adults"
To better understand what customers think and want, “We’re going to connect with the consumer wherever she is,” said Rosenfeld. “On the quality side, [we need to] shift from ‘good enough’ to ‘truly delicious,’ turning brands that [our] consumers have lived with for years into brands they can’t live without.” Most importantly, pronounced Rosenfeld, Kraft would invest heavily in innovation and new-product development. Simply put, she said, “We need to rebuild our new-product pipeline.” (Developing New Products and Managing the Product Life-Cycle; chapter 8; page 260)

EOC Week 9: Three Great Mission Statements

1) Our mission statement “A statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment” (Armstong & Kotler, Pg.39)is to offer the best snacking experience with our Phileas Fogg Brand Chili Crisps to accompany your favorite spirit! Our Chili Crisps will excite you with their rich and exotic flavors from around the world. These flavors of Thailand use the spicy and savory chili’s to awaken your taste buds.  The crunchy and delicious Chili Crisps will take you to on your own personal trip with every bite and entice the inner adventurer in you!
--- http://reginasollecchio.blogspot.com/search/label/Final%20Project ---
I really enjoyed this Mission Statement because, the person makes it sound like a lot of fun. They mention how they want their chili crisps to excite you when you eat it, as well as to make your taste buds awake. I really enjoy eating something that will make my taste buds feel happy and excited.

2) Phileas Fogg's mission is to constantly deliver high quality snacked foods to our loyal customers coupled with the desire to cater to their needs. The Pepperoni Pizza flavored chip is cut thicker than other's so that there's more room for flavor with each and every bite - the sugar, spice, and everything nice are all key components that we all take into consideration. We sense our moral obligation to safeguard each other, our customers, and environment by aspiring to operate a safe, injury free and healthy work place.
I liked this one, because it has sugar, spice and everything nice gives you the two flavors that everyone desires for. This persons mission statement made me feel like going out and buying myself a bag of the pepperoni pizza flavored chips, if its going to make me feel like have more and more with every single bite, I want to make sure i feel this experience.

3) Giving the consumer value, for there money, bringing them back to try other product that we produce. Make them happy before they buy your products. Giving Beer Buddy Pork Rinds, part of the Phileas Fogg family products, a compliment with your beer in your local pub or to enjoy to take home with you from your local convenient store with your favorite beer.  Enjoy the different flavors from our popular chili-lime and our new mole, a spicy, slightly sweet with a hint of Mexican chocolate.
"Giving the consumer value for their money..." is my favorite line of this persons mission statement. They want their consumers (customers) to feel like they are using their money in a well spent place, and end up getting a product that will make them itch with excitement.

BOC Week 8: Creative Content

The way I am going to bring this product to life is by capturing the idea of it, and making it into an advertisement, or marketing plan. Meaning, digitally designing the package for it. I want to create something that will catch your eyes, and make you turn your heads to look at what it is, to make you want to try it and promote it to your friends, family, and co-workers.I want to be able to show the German culture into the product, to make you feel like you are actually there. Being able to pursue this product in a proper and mature manner, to make adults feel like they are able to enjoy their time even more is or content. We also might ad a commercial in there as we get more into the whole packing idea, to show the true experience that others have with our product.

Final Project: Bussiness Mission Statement

“A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization it’s a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment.”
(Company and Marketing Strategy Partnering to Build Customer Relationship; Chapter 2, Page 39)

Phileas Fogg, traveled the world in 80 days. Throughout his journey he comes across new and exciting cultures and traditions. Within our product we want to be able to share with you the experiences that Phileas Fogg had, by giving you a snack, with an impeccable taste for  adults only. It'll make you want to have a good time while you consume alcohol. By making the German Sausage braunschweigher, into a chip like substance, the best kind of snack everyone will want to have when at a bar.

Final Project: Objectives

"Kohler’s overall objective is to build profitable customer relationships by developing efficient yet beautiful products that embrace the “essence of gracious living.” (ch.2 , pg43)
The objective is to give you that everlasting taste of the delicious-ness of a german sausage, that'll give you that "impeccable" snack with any alcoholic drinks. We want to create a snack that will make your night a night to remember, giving you the experience & joy of every moment. We want to be able to build a profitable customer relationship by developing the motto of, "The Impeccable Taste for Adults." Embracing our strategy to the consumer, in a mature manner, making their taste buds itch for more of this taste.

EOC Week 7: The Pitch Final Project

I remember as if it was just yesterday, this is a journey that I will never forget. I was stranded, trying to find my way. Not knowing where to go, or where I am at, the only thing, I had to help me find my way out was a rich smell coming from the north ways. Having to go through rivers and land just to get closer and closer to what I was hoping would be my ticket out. The more I was moving north the more distinct the smell was getting, the more I was trying to figure what it was, the harder it was for me to stop. All I remember is this smell that was making me thirsty, and hungry, its rich, salty, drool-like senses were making the happiest person ever.  And when I finally figured out that the smell I smelled was a sausage, and wouldn’t you know it, all I had to go was go up on more hills to find out that it wasn’t just an sausage, it was a German sausage named, “Braunschweigher.” I grabbed myself a piece of this sausage with loaf bread and took it on the go to my next place of adventure. I remember thinking to myself that this sausage flavors and thin slices of bread, with a chip like crunch to it will make it an impeccable taste for adults to have with a beer.

Week Six: Three things that describe me

Three items that would best describe me would have to be. . . .

1) Herbel Essence hair products. From their shampoos to their hairspray and so on, I am all for them, because to me hair is one of the biggest things that a woman can show off and if she knows how to work it then she doesn't have to say one word. When people think of me they always remember me by my hair. They always mention how beautiful it is, how they want it, and so I take those comments and make it to where its over and beyond gorgeous and always looks and smells nice.

2) Victoria Secret Fragrence. I am absolutely in love with Victoria Secret, if you could I would literally buy pretty much everything that the store has to offer. Going into Victoria Secret, it makes me feel like I can be sexy but still be classy and that is one of the many things that I love about that store because that is how i try to express myself, when I go out.

3) Bare Minerals Make-up. Make up isn't really a big thing for me, however when I put it on I make sure it is to its perfection, I want to go out feel glamours, and known that I'll stay like that the whole night. When I wear make up, you can see my signature touch I do, by looking at the outside edges of my eye, i make it a different color to make my eyes pop out even more.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

"People love talking about things that make them happy—including their favorite products and brands." (Marketing at work 5.1 Brand Ambassadors: Employing Real Customers to Get Out the Word, page 143)
Being able to see the companies you love and adore come up with more ideas on how to please you is, what makes you love them so much. Being able to always go somewhere, or look online for ideas that aren't boring is what marketers want to do. They want you( the customer ) to feel, like you are their number one priority. Take facebook for example. From the Wall Street Journal I got a quote stating, "While I wish every company used Monster, social is a solution that many people are using," (wall street journal, Aug.8th, 2011, page 2) is basically stating that with social networking, and marking genesis, people are going to do things that others are doing or might be seeing on the t.v. However, when it comes to Facebook, they are hiring new recruiters, so that they can make you ( the customer ) happen or satisfied every time you go on to your Facebook account, they don't want to loose your interest. Do you think that is honestly working? I don't, I have a facebook, but the only reason why I go on there is to talk to my boyfriend, and other then that, I would have deleted it along time ago. So here is question for Facebook? Why are you trying to please us, when all you are doing is trying to be like every other social network, soon you will be in the dark like Myspace.

Week Four EOC: Building B-To-B Customer Partnership

When being in the marketing field it is always about the customer, and understanding his/hers need for the product. As soon as they feel like they are ready for the product it is up for the buy to do some research, they will be looking at prices, older versions, reviewing other reviews, going over and beyond, to make sure they are getting what they need. Once, the buyer has done doing all the research needed, the *buyer* will determine if the product is a valuable investment for them, by following these steps;  1)Innovators (2) Adopters (3) Majority (4) Late Majority (5) Non-Adopters.
The consumer market can be a hostile world, all you have to do is get a newspaper or a magazine, turn on your television, radio, anything and listen to all the different marketing ads there are. They are trying to influence you to get the product, the prices are either higher or lower then one another, different deals. Marketing is a no joke world sometimes, it is a very competitive world. When in this industry you have to remember the 5 states of decision making of buyers:
1) Need Recognition (2) Information search (3) Evaluation alternatives (4) Purchases (5) Post-Purchase Evaluation. (http://www.udel.edu/alex/chapt6.html

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

Baby-Boomer, Generation X, or Millennials? Which one are you? According to the Demographic trends Millennial's "are ages 18-29, and are the new Generations, like people, have personalities, and Millennials — the American teens and twenty-somethings who are making the passage into adulthood at the start of a new millennium — have begun to forge theirs: confident, self-expressive, liberal, upbeat and open to change." ( http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2010/02/24/millennials-confident-connected-open-to-change/ ) I feel like I can relate to this because, I am the kind of person that can accept change, I am basically my own person, I like to be expressive, and even though I am show I am very confident in myself. Even though I don't agree with what is happening in the world today, I do believe that I will make a change one day in a way that might not seem like it but I am not scared to discover things that I have never discovered before, its a part of life isn;t? Being able to go and live your life to fullest is what I do believe.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

Today's generation there are so many different businesses out there that know how to make money, and they do a very good job at it. But, not every business know how to help anyone in need of it, or are beneficial  to others. there are not many out there, but there are a few businesses out there, such as LTSN Headphones. This company says .. "For every headphone purchased, LTSN gives the gift of hearing to a child in a deaf school. Giving back. Amplified."  ( http://www.lstnheadphones.com/pages/frontpage )By reading about this company I realized that they put a lot of thought and effort into making a headphone that can help a deaf child here it. They said that, "We are not only handing out hearing aids. we also include batteries, mold of the ear for a correct fit, ear cleaning, and antibiotics to eliminate the risk of infection. We educate the child on proper use. If a hearing aid is broken or misplaced, we replace it free of charge." ( http://www.lstnheadphones.com/pages/frontpage ) They have teamed up with the people from Sound Seekers in help with coming up with this design. It isn't like any other type of head phone. This on is made out of wood. Yes Wood! Why Wood? Well in response they mentioned that music loves wood. if you truly think about that, it is true, mostly all types of instruments are made of wood, is that not correct? so they mentioned why aren't headphones made of wood. they do allow you to listen to the music. don't they? I honestly feel in love with this company that I might even buy one of these headphones, just so that someone who can not hear can enjoy the wonderful sound of music.
